Insurance & Payment
I accept Aetna, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. See our Insurance & Fees page for full details on coverage and billing.
A free 10-minute consultation is always the starting point, so you can get your questions answered at no cost. From there: Initial Session (60 min) — $220, Therapy Session (45 min) — $185, Therapy Session (60 min) — $220. Private pay and out-of-network options are available. Visit the Insurance & Fees page for more.
I don't currently offer a sliding scale, but I do accept multiple insurance plans to make affirming care more accessible. If you're concerned about cost, contact me to discuss your options — I'm happy to help you figure out what works.
After you book your free consultation, I verify your coverage and let you know exactly what you can expect to pay before your first session. No surprises. See the Insurance & Fees page for the full verification process.
Getting Started
It's a brief phone call where we talk about what you're looking for, I answer your questions, and we see if we're a good fit. There's no commitment required — just a low-pressure conversation.
Your first session is 60 minutes. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, a bit about your history, and what you hope to work on. There's no pressure — we go at your pace. I'll follow your lead.
The free consultation call is a great way to find out. I specialize in ADHD, autism, LGBTQIA+-affirming care, anxiety, and depression. If we're not the right fit, I'm happy to help you find someone who is — that matters more to me than filling a spot on my calendar.
Teletherapy
Sessions happen over secure video from wherever you're comfortable in North Carolina — your home, your car, wherever feels right. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera, and a reliable internet connection. Learn more about teletherapy.
Research consistently shows that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and most other concerns I treat. Many clients actually find it more comfortable and convenient — you're already in a familiar environment.
Yes — I'm licensed in North Carolina, so you need to be physically located in NC during our sessions. The good news: that's anywhere in the state, from Asheville to the Outer Banks.
Scheduling & Cancellation
I offer sessions Monday through Thursday. Specific availability is shown when you book online — use the scheduling widget to see current open times.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged the full session fee. Life happens — just let me know as soon as you can.
Specialties
I don't provide formal diagnostic evaluations, but I work extensively with clients who have or suspect they have ADHD or autism. If you need a diagnosis, I can help you find assessment resources in North Carolina.
It means I respect and support your identity — whether that's your neurodivergent identity, your gender identity, your sexual orientation, or all of the above. You won't need to explain or justify who you are in our sessions. You're welcome here as you are.
Absolutely. Many of my clients are working through overlapping experiences — ADHD and anxiety, autism and depression, identity and burnout. We work with the whole picture, not just one box.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Yes. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform, and all session information is kept strictly confidential. Teletherapy can actually offer more privacy than in-person therapy — no one sees you in a waiting room or parking lot.
No. Therapy is confidential. I won't contact anyone without your written permission, except in rare situations required by law — such as imminent danger to yourself or others, or mandatory reporting situations. I'll explain these exceptions clearly before we start.
